We have a small herd here, and really only have enough room in our barn to over winter 10 does. Because of these limitations, if we want to keep a kid, than an adult will have to leave. Every year we sell a couple of adults to see what our sires are producing. We reserve first right of refusal if you decide to sell our animals at a later time.
If you are sold a doe that has been bred on our farm before leaving, it is a doe only service memo, unless otherwise stated. That means you will not register any buck kids under our farm name.
Once an animal has left the farm, it is yours, and can not be returned. We follow very strict protocols to maintain a healthy herd that is disease free. We test all our goats yearly through WADDL. In June 2019 we tested everyone for CAE. In June of 2018 we tested for CAE, Johnes, Brucellosis, and Q-Fever. In 2017 we also added CL. Our entire herd has always been clean for all these diseases! We are happy to draw blood on your animal and send in for testing before you pick up. Piece of mind is priceless, and we understand that.
Reservations can be held with a $50 non refundable deposit. If the kid of choice is not born, you may choose to move your reservation to another kid or receive a full refund.
Transportation is the responsibiltity of the buyer. All animals will be paid in full before leaving the farm.
Honey Pippin
This is a terrible picture of a beautiful doe, but it's what I have at the moment. Honey is a very nice first freshener. Her udder was actually the nicest out of all the yearlings! If I could change something about her, I would give her larger orffice size. I have bred her to Bray for spring 2024 kids to improve that trait. It is very hard to decide who leaves these days, but I do not have room to keep everyone. Another freshening could change that as well. Very promising young doe, and very sweet. She had triplets this year and is a great mother
